Carson Kindred joined the VMI staff in July 2025, serving at the Assistant Director of Sports Performance for Olympic Sports where he will oversee the lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, and rifle programs.
Kindred's latest stint was with Holy Cross as a Graduate Fellow Strength & Conditioning Coach, working with various sports including men's and women's rowing. Prior to his stint at Holy Cross, Kindred served as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at his alma mater, Bluffton University.
Kindred graduated from Bluffton in May 2024 with undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science, Sport Management, and Strength & Conditioning, before graduating with a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science degree at Merrimack College in May 2025.
While at Bluffton, Kindred played baseball for the Beavers, earning All-HCAC Academic honors twice.
