2008-09: Took part in all six of the Keydets' cross country events, one of only three runners to do so...posted back-to-back 8K personal bests at the Big South Preview (9/20) and the Paul Short Run (10/3)...finished 14th at the Big South Preview meet...placed 21st at the Big South Championships...competed in a handful of events during the indoor season...did not compete during the outdoor campaign.

2007-08: Cut best 3,000-meter steeplechase time by some 20 seconds, running a 9:32.04 at the Big South Outdoor Championships...competed in a handful of other events throughout the year.

2006-07: Competed at the cross country VMI Season Opener, placing 18th overall and seventh among VMI runners with a time of 17:15 (5K)...participated in several mile and 3,000-meter steeplechase events during the track and field season, with a best result of 4:32.91 in the mile and 9:52.66 in the 3,000-meter steeple.

High School/Personal: Four-year letterwinner and four-time All-District honoree...also named All-State...two-time All-State honoree in track...named first team all-district and third team all-district...son of Doreen and Michael Satterwhite...full name is Matthew Ryan Satterwhite...Mechanical Engineering major.
