Biography
THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN/HISTORY MAJOR
Showed the most improvement from the previous season of any player on the roster…will once again help the Keydets post presence…give the Keydet inside defense a different look when he is on the floor…continues to develop post moves and plans on seeing more playing time during his senior season…has increased his strength through off-season conditioning.
2009-10: Played in a career-high 25 games and made 19 starts and lettered for the third time…started the final 15 games of the season at center…was second on the team in blocked shots with 34…ranked seventh in the Big South in blocked shots with 1.36 per game…posted season highs with eight points and 10 rebounds…blocked four shots against Southern Virginia and three each against Virginia Tech, Liberty, and UNC Asheville…also matched his season-high with eight points at Seton Hall and seven rebounds while hitting four of nine shots from the floor…also posted seven rebound games in conference games against Radford and Winthrop.
2008-09: Played in eight games on the season…scored in his first three appearances of the year with a season-high six points against Stevenson after nailing 2-of-3 shots from the floor…scored five points against Maryland Bible in his first action of the year…converted five of his first eight shots on the season…played in tourney games against Coastal Carolina and Liberty and had a rebound against CCU…lettered for the third time.
2007-08: Played in four games before shutting his season down to rehab from pre-season surgery…played against Dartmouth, West Virginia Wesleyan, Columbia Union and Howard…scored 12 points against Columbia Union and was 6-of-8 from the floor…hit 3-of-4 shots from the floor against West Virginia Wesleyan and scored six points.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played under coach Brent Jackson at Whitewater High…averaged 9.0 points and 10.0 rebounds as a senior and averaged 11.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and eight blocks as a junior…is WHS all-time leader in blocks (336) and rebounds (689)…named All-County First Team for two years and Second Team his sophomore year…named All Tournament Team-Thanksgiving 2006…named Outstanding Rebounder 2006-2007….led WHS to the state playoffs in 2007…Played for AAU Metro Mavericks (National Qualifiers-Orlando, Fla.-2006)…scored eight points, notched 15 rebounds and had 20 blocks against Our Lady of Mercy his sophomore season.
