Biography

THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN/PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR

Can be a deadly shooter from the wing and perimeter and has the ability to transform a game with his outside shooting touch…working to regain scoring production of his early years and boost 3-point shooting percentage…has been both a starter and reserve in his career…will give depth along the frontline.

2014-15: Played in 30 games with 23 starts…averaged 5.9 points per game…scored in double figures in seven games…scored a season-high 17 points against Johnson University and scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds in win at Western Carolina Feb. 21…pulled down four offensive rebounds in 12 point game at East Tennessee State Jan. 2…produced a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in SoCon opener win at Samford Dec. 4…had 14 games of 14 or more rebounds...hot 3 of 4 3-pointers in home win vs. Furman Feb. 12.

2013-14: Started the season strong averaging 9.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in the All-Military Classic and had SportsCenter’s #1 play of the day with a dramatic dunk in the season opening win against The Citade when he also had a double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds)…scored a season-high 20 points against Bluefield State after hit a perfect six-of-six in 3 pointers…scored in double figures in 12 games last year…had four games of 10 or more rebounds including a career-high 14 points at Campbell when he also had six offensive rebounds…averaged 12.0 points and shot 4-of-6 beyond the arc during a three-game conference stretch in February…scored 11 points in tournament win against Gardner-Webb…had six games of three or more 3-pointers…connected on six of 10 from the floor in a 15-point performace at East Carolina December 19.

2012-13: Missed the season due to injury.

2011-12: Played in 33 games all in a reserve role and averaged nearly 15 minutes a game while finishing fifth on the team in scoring with a 6.6 points per game average…shot an astounding 9 of 13 from 3-point range in the Big South tournament to help propel VMI to the finals including five treys in win over Coastal Carolina in quarterfinals…scored a season-high 19 points at Longwood…pulled down a season-high five rebounds against Liberty and Milligan…hit double figures 10 times on the year including 15 points in his college debut against The Citadel  Nov. 11…hit five three-pointers against Alice Lloyd on November 15…led the team in 3-point shooting percentage with a 40.3% mark. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 17.9 points per game in 2010-11 with 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists...scored a career-high 36 points and also made nine three-pointers in one game against Charlotte Christian...completed his high school career with over 1,500 points and 75 three-point goals... Weethee played for Coach Brandon Clifford and helped his team to 18 wins during his senior year.
