ONE-YEAR LETTERMAN/ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS MAJOR

ON CANTAFIO – Contributes to the team with hustle and brings energy to the squad...a hard worker who is ready when called upon...will help the Keydet backcourt depth.

2007-08: Played in 14 games and lettered...scored a season-high five points against West Virginia Wesleyan (11/14)...dished out 12 assists on the season, including a season-high five against Columbia Union (11/28)...also pulled down four rebounds in the Columbia Union game...hit both of his free throw attempts in conference games at Winthrop (1/23) and High Point (2/2).    

HIGH SCHOOL: Starting point guard for three years at Benedictine High School in Richmond, Va...averaged 7.5 points, 8.0 assists and 2.0 steals per contest as a senior...named All-Tournament in the prestigious BCC tournament...three-year starter, two-year captain... Benedictine went 66-26 in his career...Led Benedictine to a Virginia Independent State Championship as a senior, going 29-3...No stranger to VMI, having been born in Lexington when his father, Joe Cantafio, served as VMI head basketball coach from 1987-1994.
