scouting, recruiting, and player development. Mattocks also coordinates
team travel and oversees study hall during the academic year.
"We are very pleased
to have Ryan join our VMI basketball family," said Baucom. "He brings a
tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm to our program. His work
ethic and skill set are a perfect fit for us."

each year. He helped guide the 2008 Apex team to the Eastern Regional
Championship before going down in the State Finals.
Prior to his high
school coaching experience, Mattocks found success as the head man at
various levels, including leading his Raleigh Elite team to State
Championships (AAU and USBA).
