THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN/ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS MAJOR
ON LONON - Will serve as one of the team's tri-captains this year...one of the veteran backcourt performers...has the most experience on the team with 58 career starts... excellent defender who has helped in Keydet wins with staunch efforts on that end of the floor...can be effective on the dribble-drive...looking forward to productive senior season.
2008-09: Was sidelined by an aggravated hamstring pull sustained in preseason which hampered his availability the first half of the season...missed the first 11 games of the year before taking the court for 13 minutes against Richmond Dec. 31...played in 14 games in all with the Keydets victorious in 10 of those outings...played his best game of the year in the conference semifinal against Liberty, when he gave VMI 16 minutes of quality defensive effort off the bench, scored a season-high 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting and also posted four steals...scored eight points in regular season finale at High Point, hitting 6-of-7 from the free throw line...dished out four assists twice, against Liberty (2/24) and Coastal Carolina (3/3)...lettered for the third time.
2007-08: Played in 28 games with 27 starts...co-led the team in assists with 97 and averaged 3.5 assists per game, ranking eighth in the Big South Conference...ranked fifth in the Big South in steals (2.07 per game)...improved shooting percentage to 51.1% for the season (45-88)...averaged seven assists per contest over a four-game stretch in January...dished out four or more assists in 14 games...had a season-high nine assists against Columbia Union on Nov. 28 and eight assists at Charleston Southern (1/12)...scored in double figures against Columbia Union (14 points) and had 10 points against UNC Asheville (1/19)...logged a season-high five steals against S.C. State (12/4) and West Virginia Wesleyan (11/14)...ranked seventh in the Big South Conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.4)...played a season-high 38 minutes against Winthrop (1/23) and Radford (2/5)...lettered for the second time.
2006-07: Was second on the team in assists with 120...played in all 33 games with 31 starts at point guard...dished out a season-high 11 assists in record-setting win against Virginia Intermont and had 10 assists against Lees-McRae...had eight assists at Winthrop Jan. 5...gave the team a first-half scoring burst against Winthrop Jan. 31 with 12 points, hitting 4-of-7 shots from the floor and 4-of-5 from the line...ranked eighth in the Big South in assists (3.64) and was sixth in assist-turnover ratio...one of five Keydets to rank among the top 13 in steals in league games...had four-steal games against Charleston Southern, Southern Virginia, and Virginia Intermont... played 31 minutes and gave the Keydets excellent defensive play in the tourney win at Liberty.
HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 17.3 points as a senior with 4.0 steals and 3.8 assists per game...scored a career-high 42 points in a game along with 13 rebounds, six assists, and four steals...a 2005-06 First Team All-State selection...named First Team All-Virginia Commonwealth Conference and was selected MVP of the conference tournament his senior year...also co-captained the team...helped Steward to 64 wins over his three-year high school career, played on the state championship Steward School team as a sophomore and was named MVP of the Virginia Independent Schools State Championships...also earned All-Conference and All-Academic team honors as a junior.
