2011: Team’s strongest/most physical defender ... Holds VMI dip record for 80 reps  ... No. 2 in VMI weight room with 325 lbs. bench press and in pullups with 37 reps ... Caused pair of turnovers against Army (2/19) ... Matched up against eventual Tewaaraton Trophy winner in UVA’s All-American Steele Stanwick (2/28) ... Had two ground balls as well as a caused turnover against PC (3/12) ... Collected two ground balls against Detroit (3/19) and Mount St. Mary’s (3/22) ... Picked up a trio of ground balls against Manhattan (3/26)  ... Was limited against Marist (4/2) due to shoulder injury ... 2010: Ran his consecutive starts streak to 29, as he started all 15 games for the Keydets...grabbed 23 groundballs on the season, with a season best of three, which he accomplished three times...also caused 11 turnovers on the year, including three against Detroit.

2009: Was first freshman since 2007 (Sean McCoy) to start every game for a VMI lacrosse team...had 31 groundballs on the year, with a season-best of seven against Providence on Mar. 14...that total was tied for the second-best effort by a VMI player in '09...was also twice credited with causing four turnovers, both in road contests versus Presbyterian and Saint Joseph's.

High School/Personal: Three-year letterwinner at Glenelg HS which won two state championships during those three years ...2008 team captain on 18-0 team.....First-team All-County Defense.....team defensive MVP......scholar-athlete award...played club lacrosse for a trio of squads...lettered in Football...international studies major...son of Eric and Deena Hofstetter.
