2009: Played in all 14 games for the Keydets, starting five...had three assists, one each in the season's final three games...found the back of the net for his lone goal of the season Mar. 28 versus Saint Joseph's...had 38 groundballs, tying him for the team lead (Chris Rossie)...expected to be a key starter for VMI in the 2010 season and will serve as one of four team captains.

2008: Played in 15 games, providing key energy as the first-string defensive midfielder...grabbed 31 groundballs on the season, with a season high of six on Apr. 5 versus Saint Joseph's...grabbed five against the Siena Saints the following week, helping the Keydets to the biggest Division I upset of 2008 (according to LAXpower.com)...also snatched five groundballs in the MAAC Championship game versus Canisius...named to the MAAC All-Academic team.

2007: Started first two games of season...attempted six shots in 2/28 win over Presbyterian...grabbed five groundballs in season opener versus Hartford...scored first collegiate goal 3/31 versus Canisius.

High School/Personal: Three-year letterwinner in lacrosse and football...All-Section 1 and All-League as a face-off middie...recorded 31 goals and 13 assists in senior season...led team to regional championship and state semifinals...2003-2004 state football runner-ups, and 2005 state champions...National Honor Society member...full name is David Allen Padgett...son of Judy Weeks-Padgett...2006 VMI Fall Dean’s List recipient.
