Andrew Patterson enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Keydets.
In his first season on staff in 2023, the Keydets had the highest number of wins in 15 years. Patterson coaches the goalies, assists with the defense, and runs the substitution box. Under Patterson’s tutelage, freshman Adam Norris finished first in the nation among freshman goaltenders in save percentage.

He came to the Institute by way of Hiram College, where he served under Brian Jenkins as the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for two years as a graduate assistant.

In 2022, Patterson was tasked with leading a young defense, running the substitution box, overseeing Hiram’s recruiting responsibilities, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the program.

Prior to Hiram, Patterson was the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Brevard College under Jim Fritz.

Patterson was a four-year lacrosse player at the Catholic University of America where he won a Landmark Conference Championship in 2015. He was also named to the Landmark Conference Honor Roll.
Patterson is a 2019 graduate of the Catholic University of America where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in politics pre-law. He went on to earn a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Hiram in 2022.
