Will return as the Keydets’ starter behind the plate and hit in the middle of the lineup...Brother of Keydet freshman Sam Roberts.

2007: Started 53 of the team’s 55 contests behind the plate...Set career-highs in batting average, doubles, triples, home runs, on-base percentage and walks...Drove home a pair with his second triple of the season against Liberty in the Big South Championship (5/23)...Enjoyed a career day by going 5-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored in game two against Radford (5/12)...Notched his third two-double game of the season, while also throwing out a pair of runners on the basepaths in a 3-1 win over VCU (4/24), the second time he threw out a pair of basestealers in a game on the year...Saw his five-game hitting streak end in game one against Coastal (4/20), a streak that saw him go 8-for-19 (.421) with two doubles and three home runs...Posted his first two-home run game of his career in game one against Coppin State, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored...Slugged a two-run home run, his first of the season, in the seventh inning of game one against High Point (4/6), then scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth after doubling in a 7-6 win over the Panthers in game two (4/7)...In 3-1 win against Old Dominion (3/21), collected three hits while scoring the go-ahead run in the second inning.
Summer: Hit .244 while playing 37 games for the Peninsula Pilots of the Coastal Plain League...Hit four doubles and a triple while stealing five bases...Posted a .981 fielding percentage behind the plate and was credited with ten baserunners thrown out and two pickoffs.

2006: Started 39 games behind the plate and 44 in all...Played in all but two games on the season...Hit .276 and ranked fourth on the team with 38 RBI...Also posted 10 doubles and hit his first career home run against Brown (3/27) in a 7-6 victory...Drove in a season-high four runs in that game and against #16 Winthrop (5/20) in the team’s 10-4 victory against the Eagles...Went 4-for-5 against UNC Asheville (4/29).
Summer: Played for the Petersburg Generals of the Coastal Plain League, playing in 44 contests with 37 starts...Had six doubles and one home run while driving in 11 runs...Ranked third on the team in batting average (.220).

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Prince George as a catcher and outfielder...Named 2005 Central District Player of the Year, Second Team All-State and First Team All-Region as a senior...Also earned recognition as a First Team All Tri-Cities selection and garnered Tri-Cities Player of the Year honors as a senior...As a junior, hit .382 with five doubles, four home runs and a school-record 35 RBI...Three-time All-Academic team honoree and three-time VHSL Academic Award winner...Also a two-year letterwinner in football, named second team all-district.
