Jason Farley's Career Statistics

2010: Ranked eighth in the Big South in ERA (4.12) and posted a 4-5 record in 15 outings (12 starts)…also ranked eighth among qualifiers in opponents batting average (.260)…allowed the sixth-fewest walks among qualifiers in the conference (17)…held opposition to just a .234 average with runners on…batters hit just .198 with two outs…made six quality starts…worked six innings, allowing just two runs against Maryland (3/2)…picked up his first win of the year against La Salle in relief (3/13)…made his first career Big South start 3/20 against High Point, going eight innings and giving up just two runs in a win…pitched his first complete game 3/27 against Charleston Southern, allowing just two runs…allowed just one run in 7.1 innings at UNC Asheville, taking a tough no-decision (4/3)…defeated Gardner-Webb by going 6.1 innings on 4/9…retired all five batters he faced in relief against #1 Virginia (4/14)…took a no-decision at Liberty (4/17), giving up four runs in five-plus innings…allowed just three runs, two earned, against #7 Coastal Carolina (4/24)…struggled in his final four starts, going 0-3 with an 11.30 ERA during that time.

2008: Went 3-2 with two saves in 17 appearances as a freshman…got off to a great start in conference play, collecting a win and a save in a doubleheader sweep of High Point (3/22), allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four in three innings in the two games…began his career by facing 18 batters and surrendering only one hit, a solo home run in the final game against Binghamton (3/1), in his first two appearances… retired the first eight batters he faced in his career before an error broke the string against Binghamton in game one (2/29)…earned a win against Coppin State (4/23), pitching five innings and allowing two earned runs.

High School/Personal:
As a senior, earned Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year honors, going 8-2 with a save, striking out 59 batters while walking only nine…posted an ERA of 1.23 in 58.2 innings for the Liberty District Champions, while also hitting .371 with 11 RBIs…twice named both Liberty District and Northern Region Pitcher of the Year as a senior…named AAA First Team All-State as a senior…before the season, was the only player in the state of Virginia named to the Louisville Slugger Preseason High School All-America First Team…named First-Team All-Met as a junior after going 10-1 with a 0.70 ERA…career mark of 23-7 at Madison under head coach Mark Gjormand…as a junior, was named to the Virginia AAA All-State Second Team...son of Kevin Farley and Lynne Pahl…father played basketball at Shepherd University…majoring in psychology.
