Biography

Came on strong late last season and will be expected to contribute as a left-handed specialist in the bullpen after enjoying a fine fall season.

2007: Appeared in seven contests, striking out seven batters while allowing only one hit in 5.2 innings...In three Big South appearances, allowed only one hit in 2.1 innings, striking out two while allowing one run...Enjoyed his best outing in game three against Savannah State (4/1), setting down all six batters he faced while striking out three in final two innings... Allowed only one hit in 1.1 innings, striking out a pair of batters in relief in game two against UNC Asheville (4/28)...Worked a perfect ninth inning in game two against UMES (3/10).
Summer: Struck out 28 batters in 27.1 innings while walking only 13 for the Petersburg Generals of the Coastal Plain League...Went 1-2 with a 4.67 ERA in 19 appearances, as opponents hit only .210.

2006: Redshirted the 2006 season.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Hermitage as a pitcher and rightfielder...Helped Hermitage to a regional championship in 2004 and a runner-up finish in 2003...Named team MVP as a sophomore... PItched an 18-strikeout game as a sophomore... Became the first pitcher to win a regional championship in Hermitage’s history, defeating Mills Godwin as a junior.
