Ray Noe joined the VMI baseball coaching staff in the fall of 2019 and was promoted to recruiting coordinator in the fall of 2022. Noe aided head coach Sam Roberts build once of the best offenses the program has seen in the 2023 season. VMI finished the year fifth in the nation with a .322 batting average, tied for 44th in hits and tied for 49th in runs. The Keydets ranked 16th in slugging percentage (.529) and 25th in on base percentage (.409). 

He was a coach at the IMG Baseball Academy in Bradenton, Florida for the last year. Noe served as the head varsity coach at Pickerington High School Central (Ohio) from 2015-18, compiling a record of 52-32 overall and 26-17 in league play. He was the head varsity baseball coach in Bexley, Ohio and also worked with the Worthington and Carroll High School programs prior to that.   

Noe graduated from Wittenberg University in May of 2011 while majoring in early education/intervention specialist. He was a four-year starter on the Tigers baseball team, serving as the team captain as a junior and senior. As a senior, Noe earned first-team all-conference honors and second-team all-state accolades. He earned his Masters Degree in Sports Coaching from The Ohio State University in 2018.
