Craig Burks joins the VMI athletic equipment staff after spending the past seven years at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
From August 2018 through May 2020, Burks served as a graduate assistant with the football team repairing and maintaining all football equipment, assisting the head coach with equipment orders and organizing the equipment room. He also inputted potential athletes into the recruiting database, cleaned and maintained all game jerseys and worked directly with equipment vendors.
As a student manager for the football team from August 2013-May 2018, Burks performed many similar tasks in addition to assisting players with equipment sizing and providing communications with equipment vendors.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Henderson State in May 2018 before going on to earn a master of science in sport administration from Henderson State in May 2020.
