2015-16: Earned a 10-12 overall record for the year, including a 6-6 dual record and 4-6 mark in tournament competition … went 3-4 in Southern Conference action … achieved the team’s fourth best tally in dual points with 20 for the season … logged four major decision, one tech fall and one fall on the year … accounted for 10 of the team’s 14 victories at 174 pounds … opened the season with two wins, including an 11-3 major decision over Franklin & Marshall’s Colin Gironda in the first ever dual at Cormack Hall … earned a fall over F&M’s Josh Young at the Keystone Classic … topped Campbell’s Matthew Olauson in an 11-9 sudden decision on Jan. 15 before earning a 17-4 major decision over Coast Guard’s Dan Fiorvanti to open the All-Academy Championships at Cameron Hall … after falling to No.16 Jadaen Bernstein at All-Academy, defeated The Citadel’s Tim Knipl by a 17-0 tech fall… picked up an 11-2 major decision over Davidson’s Nathaniel Powers at the SoCon Championships.

2014-15: Wrestling at 174 pounds, earned a 10-13 overall record for the season, including a 7-7 dual record and 4-5 mark in SoCon bouts … finished 3-6 in tournament play … achieved two wins by fall and one major decision en route to 27 duals points on the year … won by an 18-2 tech fall over Old Dominion’s Kaleab Fetahi at the Hokie Open on Nov. 9 … earned a 17-9 major decision over Gardner-Webb’s Aaron Rabin at the Hokie Open … pinned American’s Nick Carey in 4:54 on Jan. 11 before pinning Campbell’s Monte Britton in 3:36 on Jan. 16 … logged six victories by decision for the season ... named to the Cadet-Athlete Scholar Society following spring semester for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the term ... also named to Dean's List spring semester and to the SoCon Honor Roll for the academic year.

2013-14: Logged a 10-18 record his sophomore season at 165 pounds ... went 7-12 during dual matches, including a 2-5 mark in the Southern Conference ... had one win by fall in his season debut, sticking Campbell's Garrison Matthews in 5:32 during the Clarion Open ... finished fourth at the All-Academy Championships while going 2-2 at the event ... represented VMI at 165 pounds during the 2014 SoCon Championships hosted by Campbell.

2012-13: Had a successful freshman campaign, going 15-18 at 165 pounds … won five of his nine final matches, including a third-period win by fall over Adam Osmoe during the Southern Conference championships at VMI … won four matches by fall and another three by major decision on the year … scored a perfect 15-0 tech fall over Osmoe during VMI’s dual with SIU Edwardsville … went 3-3 in SoCon matches and 7-8 in duals … ran off a career high three-match winning streak twice, including his first three matches as a Keydet.

High School: Earned two varsity letters at C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Va. … finished fourth at the AAA state tournament … was the first state placewinner for his high school since 2006 … won 95 matches during his career.

Personal: Full name is Mark Cortezz Darr … son of Jennifer Reed … has three siblings, Steven, Anthony and Brittany … majoring in computer science.
