2014: Named to the Johnny Bench Award watch list for the second straight year...battled illness early in the year, but his first appearance of the year was Reed Garrett's Feb. 21 no-hitter...threw out 21 of 40 runners attempting to steal...went 10 for his final 23 to raise his average over the .200 mark...4 for 4 May 10 against Campbell and had two hits the next day as well...2 for 4 with three RBI in win over Charleston Southern...1 for 4 with two runs scored April 2 at VCU...had his first home run of the year April 22 at James Madison...hit safely in four straight games March 21-28.
2013: Second Team All-Big South catcher...one of 15 catchers in Division I named a semifinalist for the Johnny Bench Award, given to D1's top catcher annually...was the first Keydet to advance that far for the award, as only two others (Mike Roberts and Alex Haitsuka) had reached the Watch List for the honor previously...was a force both defensively and offensively, hitting .333 to rank eighth in the Big South...his on-base percentage of .449, aided by 14 hit by pitches, ranked fourth in the league...also threw out 41.2% of runners trying to steal against him...saw action in 52 games, starting 44...had a 15-game hitting streak and a 24-game run of reaching base stretch from 3/23 until 4/19...hit over .460 during that run...tied 3/2 game against eventual NCAA Regional participant Binghamton with an extra-inning home run...went 5 for 11 during games of 3/12-3/16 and also caught 3 of 6 runners trying to steal during that time...had two two-hit games in Coastal series in late March, also had three doubles and nabbed three of four attempted basestealers...2 for 4 with two runs scored at #4 Virginia on April 3...went a stunning 10 for 15 (.667 BA) in games played 4/2 - 4/7...3 for 4 with three RBI in 4/23 loss to Virginia Tech...2 for 4 with a walk in finale of Liberty series 4/27...2 for 5 with two RBI in finale against Winthrop (5/12), including an RBI single off WU relief ace Eric Ruth, which was just the second earned run Ruth had surrendered all season.
2012: Strong defensive catcher saw action in 48 games, starting 41...threw out 27.9% of runners trying to steal, including two in collegiate debut against South Carolina...also hit .220 on the year with two home runs...had a two-hit game against Youngstown State March 9, but was hitting just .133 going into March 21's game at Virginia...collected two hits that night and started a five-game run during which he raised his average over 70 points...had his first career home run in his home town of Richmond, going deep April 10 at VCU...that was part of a four-game hitting streak for Winn...also had a seven-game hitting streak run April 21 - May 2, during which he hit .375 with a home run and four doubles...home run came May 1 against VCU...had the eventual game-winning double May 11 against Charleston Southern...also notched two hits in season-ending win at VCU, as he went 4 for 11 with two home runs against his hometown Rams on the season.
