2014: Finished his freshman year hitting .228 in 45 games...started 40 contests...became VMI's starting shortstop on Feb. 25 following injury to Ray Lopez, and was involved in two double plays in win at #1 Virginia...Dofflemyer was nearly five years from being born when VMI had last beaten UVA in Charlottesville (1990)...had his first career hit in 2/16 win over Kentucky...went 2 for 4 for first multi-hit game 3/1 vs. UMES...notched his first extra-base hit, a two-run double, at ODU 3/12...2 for 4 with a run scored 3/21 vs. Presbyterian...had his first career three-hit game 4/17 vs. Longwood...2 for 3 in middle game of series at Winthrop (4/26)...2 for 3 with a run scored in 5/16 win over CSU. 

High School/Personal: 2013 Co-Player of the Year in the Shenandoah District…First Team All-District SS…hit .420 with 14 stolen bases…three-year letterwinner at Page County high school...First Team All-District (2011) when he was also Second Team All-Region...Second Team All-District in 2012...four-year basketball letterwinner as well, where he was the Shenandoah District Player of the Year in 2013...holds school's career point record on the hardwood...member of 2011 state baseball (Division I) champions...father played baseball at Manatee JC, Virginia Tech and High Point...grandfather played at Elon...intends to major in Biology at the Institute…played summer ball for the Shenandoah Baseball Club for Mike Bocock.
