THREE-YEAR LETTERMAN/ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS MAJOR
Veteran post player with multiple years starting experience…tough on the boards and gets the most out of his frame and experience…projected to start again…could contend for all-conference honors.
2014-15: Played in 30 games with 22 starts…Led the team in rebounding with a 5.8 average…was tied or team high rebounder in 12 games during the year…almost tripled his scoring output from the previous year and averaged 8.9 points per game…led the team in blocks with 87 which was third highest season on the Keydet record books…led the SoCon in field goal percentage with a .600 mark…ranked second in the league in offensive rebounds (3.0)…ranked second in the SoCon in blocks (2.9)…scored a career-high 26 points including 14 of 20 from the free throw against Chattanooga Feb. 26…scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Wofford Jan. 8…finished the season with five straight double figures scoring games and averaged 14.4 points over that stretch…blocked 7 shots at Wofford Jan. 5 and had 6 blocks against UNCW Nov. 22 and Virginia Tech (Dec. 22)…scored in double figures in 13 games.
2013-14: Was inserted in the starting lineup at midseason in January and VMI went 14-6 when he served that role…averaged 4.3 rebounds which was third on the team…his 41 blocks was second only to D.J. Covington’s team leading 106 rejections…shot 54% from the floor which was second on the team…scored a season-high 13 points against Virginia-University of Lynchburg and 12 points against Washington College…snagged double-figure rebounds in three games including 13 against Virginia University-Lynchburg and 10 each at Gardner-Webb and versus Campbell…grabbed five or more rebounds in 17 of 35 games…blocked a season-high eight shots which tied the season most by a Big South player last year…blocked four shots at Campbell January 18.
2013-14: Played in all 31 games with five starts...started five consecutive games in February (Radford, Longwood, UNC Asheville, Radford, Campbell) and hit 12 of 14 shots from the floor in that role...played most of the year with an injured hand which affected his shooting especially from the line... averaged 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds...shot 55% from the floor (38-68)...amassed a season-high 11 rebounds against Army Nov. 11 in the All-Military Classic...pulled down five or more rebounds in seven games...scored season-high eight points against Shenandoah January 2 when he hit all four shots from the floor...scored as season-high 9 points against Virginia University of Lynchburg...had seven rebounds against both Morgan State Dec. 1 and Longwood Feb. 6. ...blocked two shots at Radford.
HIGH SCHOOL: Helped lead Davidson Day to NCISAA 2A title game, received Most Outstanding Player award after averaging 13 points and 11.9 rebounds...2012 All-State...MVP of 2011 Augusta Christian Tournament and 2011 S.P.A.A. Tournament...All-Tournament for All-Stars Holiday Classic and Charlotte Sports Commission Hardwood Classic.
