2010: Selected Second Team All-Big South (OF)…ranked in the conference's top-10 in total bases (134, 6th), doubles (19, 7th) and RBI (55, tied-8th)…hit a team-best .360 in Big South play…blasted five home runs in conference action…had a stellar 27-game stretch early in the season, during which he hit .424 with 2 doubles, eight home runs and 43 RBI…also had an OPS (on-base plus slugging) of 1.216…posted a career-best 11-game hitting streak, which was snapped on 4/16…had the game-winning home run in VMI's Big South opener, a 5-4 win over High Point March 19…also nailed what proved to be the game-winning hit against JMU on April 7, a two-run double in the seventh inning…hit home runs in five of seven games in mid-March, with multiple hits, a run scored and an RBI in six of the seven contests.
Summer: Played briefly for the Winchester Royals of the Valley League, seeing action in nine games.
2009: Appeared in 51 of VMI’s 53 contests, making 40 starts with a majority coming at shortstop and left field…went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a home run in game one against High Point, hitting the first of back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning…had a career-best 10-game hitting streak, during which he hit .395 (15 for 38) with six RBIs…had VMI’s only hit in game two at #23 Coastal Carolina…in the Winthrop series, hit .417 (5-for-12) with two doubles and three runs scored…hit a pinch-hit home run in game one against Gardner-Webb (4/10), becoming the first Keydet in over four years to do so…reached base safely in 14 straight games with hits in 12 of the 14…was 2 for 6 with a three-run home run and two runs scored in game one at Presbyterian (3/14).
Summer: Played in 40 games for the Rockbridge Rapids of the Valley League, based in Lexington…hit .228 with six doubles and a team-high three home runs…Also had 10 stolen bases in 12 attempts and fielded .992.
2008: Saw action in 26 games, starting 12, as a freshman…made starts at shortstop, first base, third base and designated hitter…went 3 for 4 with three runs scored for his first career multiple-hit against Coppin State (4/23)…started at shortstop in mid-week wins against Richmond (4/1) and Old Dominion (4/2), getting a hit and scoring a run in each game…hit his first career double in game two against Marshall (3/15)…had his first career hit in his collegiate debut, going 1-for-3 against Lafayette (2/23).
Summer: Led the Arlington (Va.) Diamonds of the Clark Griffith League with a .298 batting average, five home runs, 18 RBIs, 61 total bases, and a .492 OBP.
High School/Personal: Four-year letterman under head coach John Colantuni at C.D. Hylton…played in the middle infield at Hylton and hit .325 with 21 RBIs and 10 stolen bases as a junior...son of Terry and Anita Sullivan…played for the Faris Braves Fall Travel team…sister, Hilary, played soccer at Bridgewater College… also has another sister, Amelia…majoring in psychology.
