2009: Took a medical redshirt year.

2008: Named Second Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State as a sophomore...Went 5-0 with two saves and a 1.95 ERA in 17 appearances...In 37.0 innings, had 30 strikeouts, 11 walks and only one home run allowed...Was nearly unhittable in Big South Conference play, allowing one run in 13.2 innings, striking out 13 with opponents hitting .100 in seven relief appearances... Allowed only an unearned run in four innings at #28 Virginia (5/13), striking out three, walking three and allowing only one run in a 6-5, 11-inning loss...Worked 5.1 innings in relief against #15 Coastal Carolina (4/27), allowing only one run while striking out five...Appeared in six consecutive games for VMI in early April...During the stretch, hurled 9.2 innings, allowing five hits and two unearned runs, going 2-0...Did not allow an earned run in his final seven relief appearances...Made his first start of the season in a mid-week game against William & Mary (3/25), allowing only three hits and one run through five innings, collecting the win...Made his first appearance of the season in relief against Binghamton (3/1), earning his first collegiate save by working a perfect ninth inning to wrap up the series win.

2007: Got off to a fast start, going 3-0 in his first four collegiate starts...Scored wins against Niagara (2/24) and Rider (3/4) in his first two appearances, allowing only two earned runs in 12.1 innings...Allowed two earned runs in 5.2 innings to earn his first Conference victory, against Charleston South. (3/18)...Recorded wins against Richmond (4/18) and VCU (4/24), allowing only one run in each outing...Took a no decision when he allowed only two runs in six innings against Old Dominion (5/15)...Struck out 60 batters while walking only 21.

High School: Earned Richmond Times-Dispatch Metro Player of the Year honors after leading Monacan to the Virginia AAA State Championship last season...Went 12-2 with 83 innings pitched, registering 74 strikeouts and a 2.27 ERA in 83 innings for the state champs...As a junior, went 9-3 with a 2.60 ERA...Earned both First Team and Second Team All-District honors, as well as First and Second Team All-Metro and Honorable Mention All-Region accolades...A member of the 2005 Gold Medal winners at the Virginia Commonwealth Games... Also lettered for three seasons in volleyball, and was named second team All-District as a setter.

Personal: Son of Glenn and Robin Duty...Helped lead American Legion Post 186 to a third-place finish at the 2006 World Series...Went 13-1 on the season, including a 3-0 mark in the World Series, when he struck out 25 batters in 26.1 innings while walking only five...Majoring in economics & business
