Biography

Following a strong fall season, will start in center field.

2008:  Saw action in 18 games as a sophomore, making two starts...Missed the final seven weeks of the season due to injury...Was used primarily as a pinch-runner and defensive replacement...Made his second start of the season, playing left field against W&M (3/25), going 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored and a walk...Scored three times as a pinch-runner.

2007:
Appeared in 30 games as a freshman... Saw a lot of action as a defensive replacement...Entered game one at Auburn (3/13) as a pinch runner and scored the tying run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning as VMI scored a come-from-behind, 7-3 win...Started games two and three at Florida (2/10 & 2/11), making several spectacular plays in left field...Tallied first collegiate hit in final game at Florida (2/11), singling up the middle in the eighth inning.

High School: Four-year letterman at Kellam...Helped lead Kellam to the Finals of the Beach District Tournament as a senior...Named First Team All-Beach District as a junior, following a season that saw him bat .464 with slugging and on base percentages of .678 and .516...Also swiped 12 bases along with his five doubles, three triples and one round-tripper, scoring 24 runs while driving in 11...Member of the 2004 & 2005 Commonwealth Games East Team...Competed at the Pony Baseball Select Team World Series in 2005...Honor Roll student.
