2011-12: Won 200 breast against Howard…third in 100 at that meet…had a pair of top two finishes, including a 200 breast win, against Randolph-Macon…second in 200 breast versus Limestone…finished in the top seven in the 100 and 200 breast at JMU tri-meet…third in 200 breast against Gardner-Webb.

2011 CCSA Championships: Finished 13th in the 100 breast and 14th in the 200…24th in the 50 free…was on fifth-place 400 medley relay team.

2010-11: For the second consecutive season, turned in VMI’s top time in the 200 breast...posted a personal best at Davidson.

2010 CCSA Championship: Finished 12th in his best event, the 200 breast...was also 12th in the shorter version, the 100.

2009-10: Turned in VMI’s top 200 breast time of the season, coming at Howard…Competed in all but two meets.

2009 CCSA Championship: Placed 15th in the 200 breast, swimming a career-best 2:29.44 in the finals…Also competed in the 50 free (24.72) and 100 breast (1:08.38).

2008-09: Competed in the final three meets of the year.

Personal: Son of David and Diane Hayes…One-year letterman on the swim team at Osbourn Park…District Championship his final year there…Earned Academic Letters and graduated with a 3.4 GPA…Psychology major.
