Keydets come up short against Bucs

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The VMI Keydets fell 2-1 against the ETSU Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon at Taylors Stadium in Johnson City, Tennessee.
 
The two teams were unable to score against each other throughout the first period. The Keydets had two shots on target in the first half but were unable to convert. ETSU started off the second half with a goal in the 57th minute.
 
VMI's Jaden Moore fired back in the 66th minute with his fifth goal of the season, tying senior Yeirin Mejia for most on the team.
 
ETSU would score the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute. Junior Keydet goalkeeper Ben Bruzonic tallied two saves in the contest, both in the second half.
 
VMI will next be in action against Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday at Patchin Field.
