How it Happened
- Salem struck first but VMI responded with two goals before Salem closed the first quarter out by scoring three unanswered
- Sadie and
Sydney Smith would bookend the second with goals but Salem scored five in between to take a four-goal lead into half
- Coming out of the break Salem seized the momentum, outscoring VMI 7-1 in the period
- The Keydets fought in the fourth, winning the frame 3-0 but falling 16-9
