CHARLESTON, S.C. – VMI Wrestling suffered a loss to The Citadel Sunday afternoon at McAlister Field House.
The Keydets (5-9, 1-6 SoCon) had a trio earn competitive bout victories, but it was not enough to overcome a strong Bulldog lineup in the 34-11 defeat. The Citadel claimed the Southern Conference regular-season title with the win, finishing the season 7-1 in league action.
Highlighting the day was 149-pounder
Patrick Jordon, who picked up his first ranked victory of the season, defeating No. 31 Carson DesRosier by a 7-5 decision.
141-pounder
Dyson Dunham led the Keydets in scoring with a 19-4 technical fall, while 197-pounder
Toby Schoffstall returned to the lineup and nabbed a 4-2 decision.
