REDLANDS, Calif. – For the first time since 2019-20, the VMI Water Polo Team started consecutive seasons 2-0, defeating Redlands 18-8 on Friday evening.

- Sydney Smith opened the scoring and Sadie Smith evened the match at 2-2
- The Keydets jumped out to a 5-2 advantage and would lead 6-4 at the end of one
- Julia Ward opened the scoring in the second, with Haley Minnich and Hollie Sauceda closing out the half (10-5, VMI)
- Freshman Noa Ziv found the back of the net in the third as VMI led 13-6 through three, ultimately taking the contest 18-8
