Keydets rattled by Highlanders in road loss

RADFORD, Va. – VMI Baseball split the season series with Radford after falling in Wednesday night's contest at Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium.
 
A fourth-inning Radford surge haunted the Keydets (25-17, 5-7 SoCon), leading to a 12-5 final in favor of the Highlanders.
 
Key Stats
- VMI scored five runs off six hits with five RBIs.
- Grayson Fitzwater hit his 14th home run of the season, moving into fourth all-time with 38 career homers, and extended his on-base streak to 37 games.
- Ryan Peterson tallied a pair of RBIs and two doubles.
- Boston Torres went two for three, extending his on-base streak to 42 games, tied for the longest streak in program history.
- Owen Prince earned an RBI and a stolen base.
