LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Water Polo Team had two conference contests on Saturday at the VMI Aquatic Center, dragging Siena to the end before falling in overtime and dropping a contest to nationally-ranked Wagner.
VMI, who falls to 9-8 overall and 0-3 in MAAC play, takes on Villanova tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. The game will represent Senior Day, as the Keydets will honor
Courtney Novotny before the contest.
Game 1 vs. Siena – L, 14-18 (OT)

- Siena would outscore VMI 3-1 in the first, but the Keydets responded with a 6-4 second quarter to knot the game up at 7-7 going into half
- VMI took control in the third, scoring five of the last six goals in the period (12-10, end of 3

- Siena buckled down in the fourth, trying the game and forcing overtime before outscoring the Keydets 5-1 in the extra periods
