STATESBORO, Ga.  –  The VMI Rifle program opened up the 2025 Southern Conference Rifle Championships by competing in the smallbore on Saturday, with Elizabeth Stann leading all Keydet shooters with a score of 564, hitting 24 center tens in the process.

Darian Tweedell posted a strong score of 554 (14 center 10s) with Wuyue Xie totaling a score of 552. Adrianna Sanders and Emma Cameron rounded out the scoring with 543's.

On the mixed side, Alexander Pohlman led the team with a score of 560, hitting 20 center tens. Teammates Michael Annesi and Ryan Harlow led were just behind Pohlman, each posting scores of 559 with 16 centers. Victoria Phillips would shoot a 558 (19 centers) and Kyle Kemp totaled 556 on the day.

The Championship will conclude on Sunday at the Shooting Sports Education Center in Statesboro, Georgia, with the competitors shooting air rifle.
