Last Time Out: Jacksonville 69, VMI 67 – Saturday, Nov. 15

VMI rallied from nine points down late in the second half to take the lead at 67-66 with 16 seconds left in the game. Jacksonville's Chris Arias hit a three-pointer on the other end of the court with less than two seconds left on the clock to win the game for the visiting Dolphins in the annual SoCon-ASUN Challenge.

Arias finished with a game-high 24 points – all from eight three-pointers on the day – while Jaylen Jones also finished in double figures with 17 points to lead Jacksonville to victory.

VMI's TJ Johnson led the Keydets with 18 points while junior AJ Clark finished with a career-high 15 points.

About Richmond (3-0)
The Spiders opened the season with an 84-58 win over Southern Virginia on November 5 before taking down East Carolina, 87-72, a few days later.  The Spiders are coming off a close 90-86 win over rival William & Mary last Tuesday to enter Wednesday's game with VMI with a perfect 3-0 mark.

Aiden Argabright leads the team at 13.3 points per game while Jonathan Beagle also averages double figures at 12.3 points per outing.  Mike Walz averages 7.0 rebounds per contest, and Will Johnston is the primary distributor with eight assists so far.

All-Time Series (44-88)
Wednesday's matchup will continue a long history between the Keydets and Spiders as VMI looks to snap a five-game losing skid to Richmond dating back to 2008. The schools have faced off 132 times over many years with the Spiders doubling up on VMI's win total by an 88-44 count.

Last year, the Keydets fell by a close 78-71 score a few days before Christmas on December 21 at the Robins Center.
