The Keydets return to the mat with high hopes and scores to settle. After losing just two starters to graduation, VMI looks to pick up the pace with familiar faces like 149-pounder
Patrick Jordon, who led the team with 13 falls to pair with 22 victories, and 197-pounder
Toby Schoffstall, who was the team leader with six major decisions.
VMI will also lean on its senior leaders. After making his way to the NCAA Championships in 2024,
Dyson Dunham seeks another entry into this year's championship, this time at 141 pounds. Producing big wins early last season was 165-pounder
Ryan Vigil, including a ranked victory over Campbell.
Some fresh faces that will mix into the lineup are
Beau Lewis at 174 pounds and a pair of 184-pounders,
Andrew Barford and
Gideon Gerber, who went toe-to-toe at Wrestling in Barracks. Making a name for themselves during the intrasquad were heavyweight
Cole Will and 125-pounder
Malachi Ortiz, who each won their respective weight divisions.
Head Coach
Jim Gibson will enter his eighth season at the helm, building off his seven victories and two league wins in 2024-25. Gibson recruited a heavy freshman class, rallying 17 newcomers to the squad.
