CLEVELAND, Tenn. – VMI Wrestling fell in its first Southern Conference dual of 2025 to Chattanooga Saturday afternoon at Cleveland High School.
The Keydets had an unfortunate return to conference action, falling to the Mocs, 28-10. VMI moves to 4-7 overall and 0-2 in the league while Chattanooga moves up to 2-7 and earns their first conference dual win.
Three Keydets picked up bout victories including
Patrick Jordon who took his opponent into a first-round tiebreaker and tallying a 2-1 victory at 149 pounds. Following up was 197-pounder
Toby Schoffstall who has been stellar since his return, recording a 21-3 technical fall in 5:41. Claiming VMI's final win was
Josh Evans at 285 pounds with a solid 5-2 decision.
