BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – VMI Baseball (17-18, 2-4 SoCon) fought until the end, making things interesting in the ninth, but Gardner-Webb University (12-19, 2-7 Big South) came out victorious Sunday afternoon at John Henry Moss Stadium.
The Keydets picked up a pair of runs in the ninth inning and had the tying run at second base, but the Runnin' Bulldogs made a big stop defensively that gave them the 5-4 win to take the series.
