Keydets stumble in series opener, 8-6

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – VMI Baseball (9-10) witnessed its three-game winning streak end Friday evening at the hands of the University of North Carolina at Asheville (10-7) at Greenwood Field.

The Keydets went down early after allowing three first-inning runs to cross the plate, leaving the Bulldogs room to work late in the game. VMI continues the series tomorrow with the first pitch slated for 1 p.m.
