DURHAM, N.C. – VMI Wrestling closes out 2024 with a challenging loss to Duke on Sunday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium
The Keydets, who fall to 4-6, dropped a close 22-12 dual to the Blue Devils who earn their fourth win of the year.
VMI had three wins, the first coming from 133-pounder
Dyson Dunham with a 4-2 decision.
Eric Doran followed up with a 12-4 major decision at 157 pounds right before
Braxton Lewis nabbed a dominating 16-0 technical fall in just three minutes at 184 pounds for his third-straight dual win. Dunham earns his sixth dual win while Lewis secures his seventh. Doran snapped a three-match skid with his fourth dual triumph.

Next Up for the Keydets
The Keydets will celebrate the New Year and enter 2025 with the Purple Raider Open on January 19 in Alliance, Ohio. The tournament replaces the Franklin & Marshall Open, in which VMI was previously scheduled to compete.
