The Keydets (4-5) look to get out of their December rut after falling to Appalachian State, 40-6, last week for their first Southern Conference loss and fourth-straight dual defeat. VMI has an opportunity to pick up a Power Five win against Duke who is off back-to-back wins and sits at 3-6 overall.
Dyson Dunham picked up his fifth dual win of the year at 133 pounds after earning a 7-3 decision against App State. 184-pounder
Braxton Lewis has been dominating his new weight class this year, going 6-1 in duals with 11 total victories. With last week's win, Lewis jumps to 31st (WrestleStat) nationally at 184 pounds. The Keydets look to get 149-pounder
Patrick Jordon back on the mat who has tallied seven wins by fall this season.
VMI is 33-11 all-time versus Duke, dating back to 1920 as the first matchup between the two programs. Since 2000, the Keydets have topped the Blue Devils four times including a 28-9 home victory in 2022. This will be the first meeting in Durham since 2014.
