LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Wrestling continues its hot streak after handling Seton Hill in the first home dual of the season at Cormack Hall Friday night.
The Keydets (4-1) easily took care of business, defeating the Griffins, 42-8. VMI has now won three straight duals heading into Thanksgiving break.
Getting things going for VMI was
Dyson Dunham at 133 pounds, pinning his opponent in under four minutes, followed by
Patrick Jordon who won by fall at 149 pounds in 1:16.
Eric Doran narrowly got past his opponent at 157 pounds, earning a late escape and riding time to win 8-6. Recording the only technical fall of the evening was 165-pounder
Ryan Vigil in a 15-0 shutout (4:41).
Ethan Flowers closed out the dual with a 9-0 major decision.

Next Up for the Keydets
The Keydets return to the mat after Thanksgiving, hosting a trio of teams for the VMI Duals on December 7 followed by a Southern Conference matchup on December 12. VMI will host Virginia at 1 p.m. followed by Edinboro at 3 p.m. and King at 5 p.m. The Keydets will then host reigning conference champions Appalachian State at 7 p.m. on December 12.
