VMI Basketball falls at Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The VMI basketball team fought hard but could not keep pace with host Davidson College as the Wildcats earned a 93-66 win over the Keydets Friday night at John M. Belk Arena in Davidson, North Carolina.
 
Game Summary
* The Keydets fell behind early 18-9 with 14 minutes to go before the half and later cut the deficit to 33-24 after a Rickey Bradley, Jr. three-pointer at the 5:00 mark
* The Wildcats pulled away with a late first-half rally to go into the break with a 48-30 advantage
* VMI had small bursts of momentum in the second half but could not maintain the rally as the Wildcats went on to earn the 93-66 win

*TJ Johnson finished with 21 points, just two off his season and career high
*Rickey Bradley, Jr. earned a season-high 11 points
*Freshman Kaden Stuckey logged a season-high 10 points, besting his prior best of eight points
*Davidson's Reed Bailey finished with a game-high 23 points on the night while Bobby Durkin was close behind with 19 points
*Mike Loughnane (13) and Zach Laput (10) also finished in double figures for the Wildcats
*Davidson earned 19 points off 15 VMI turnovers for the game
