BETHLEHEM, Pa. – VMI Wrestling closed out the Journeymen Wrestling collegiate weekend with some impressive individual performances Sunday at Freedom High School.
Leading the Keydets on the mat for the Collegiate Classic was sophomore
Toby Schoffstall who placed second at 197 pounds in the D bracket, earning a pair of major decisions. Also securing a podium finish was sophomore
Wayne Rold at 141 pounds, nabbing third in the E bracket after going 2-1 in his respective pool, and junior 165-pounder
Ryan Vigil who placed third in the F bracket by going 2-2 in his pool that included an 8-0 major decision

Braxton Lewis had a notable outing at 184 pounds in his opening round, defeating nationally-ranked and two-time national qualifying opponent out of Arizona State in a 12-0 major decision. This is Lewis' second win over a nationally-ranked opponent.
