Rickey Returns
After a standout freshman season in 2022-23 at VMI, junior guard Rickey Bradley, Jr. transferred out of the program and played one season at Georgia State this past year. He then decided to return to VMI over this past summer and looks to be a key contributor to the squad in 2024-25.

Key Returners
VMI is fortunate to have the services of returning team members AJ Clark, Maurice Wright, Jr., Jaren Morton and Robert Peters, all of which gained significant playing experience a year ago. The Keydets will also feature redshirt freshman guard Walker Andrews, who sat out last season.

Division I Transfers
Coach Wilson and his coaching staff took a different approach to this past offseason by taking to the transfer portal to bring in battle-tested transfers to help bolster the program with depth and talent.  VMI's Division I transfers include Bradley, Jr. (Georgia State), Augustinas Kiudulas (Indiana State), Cyprian Hyde (Portland), TJ Johnson (Lipscomb) and Tan Yildizoglu (Pacific).

International Talent
The VMI coaching staff took another unconventional approach by bringing in players with international playing experience including Kiudulas (Lithuania), Linus Holstrom (Sweden) and Yildizoglu (Turkey).

About Washington College (Md.) (4-21, 2-16 in 2023-24)
The Keydets will count Monday night's game as a real NCAA contest while the match will serve as an exhibition for Washington College.

Junior Davis Bland is the Shoremen's top returning scorer ranking fourth on the team a year ago with 6.7 points per outing.  Senior Precieux Tshibangu is the leading returning rebounder as he ranked third on the squad a year ago at 3.4 rpg.

The Shoremen will be without leading scorers Kedrick Frink and Paul Rodolf, who led the team in points per game at 16.3 and 11.4 ppg last season, respectively, but both are no longer with the program.
