SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The VMI Rifle program traveled to Spartanburg on Saturday, firing a program aggregate record of 4610 to take down the Terriers (4409).
Saturday's performance, which was the opening of spring competition for the Keydets, comes off the heels of a very strong fall in which the VMI Mixed team set aggregate records in back-to-back weeks (4579, 4581) and earned its first ever Top-20 ranking.
Additionally, Christopher Hicks, who led all individuals with an aggregate of 1170, posted a personal best in the smallbore, firing a 580. VMI claimed the top three individual spots overall, as Ryan Harlow placed second with an aggregate of 1152 (569 in the smallbore) and Michael Annesi was third with a 1136.
