LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team will play two non-conference games in New York state Saturday and Monday to conclude a four-game road trip.
The Keydets square off with Maritime College Saturday at 7 p.m. at the neutral site of Randall's Island, N.Y., less than 10 miles from the Maritime campus. VMI then will play Long Island University Monday at 1 p.m. in a contest that will be held at Adelphia University.

About VMI:
The Keydets start the year off with four road games before returning home Saturday, Sept. 9 to host Presbyterian College at 1 p.m. It is also the team's Alumni Reunion.
About Maritime:
The Privateers finished 2-12-3 last season and competed in the Skyline Conference. Former VMI head coach Max Watson is in his first season leading the program.
About LIU:
The Sharks are 1-1 on the year, winning 2-1 at Stony Brook before falling 3-1 at Monmouth. LIU was 9-6-2 in 2022 and 3-4 in the Northeast Conference.
History:
This is the first time VMI and Maritime have met in men's soccer. LIU and VMI played just once, with Long Island winning 3-0 in 2006.
