About the Midshipmen:
Returning nine starters from last season's Patriot League Tournament championship roster, Navy was picked to finish first in the league's preseason poll while three Midshipmen were selected to the 2023 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. Navy started off the season in the losing column Thursday, dropping a 3-1 decision at UNC-Asheville.

The two teams have squared off four times, with Navy holding a 4-0 record in those contests. The last game meeting was in 2010 in Annapolis.
