VMI Basketball Announces 2023 Signing Class

LEXINGTON, Va. – Second-year VMI head basketball coach Andrew Wilson announced Friday the addition of seven incoming freshmen to his 2023 signing class.
 
The signees hail from six different states, including Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin (2), Pennsylvania, Tennessee (via Nigeria and Australia) and California.
 
Walker Andrews – Guard - Virginia Episcopal School – Lynchburg, Va.
Corey Chesley – Wing - Our Lady of Good Counsel – Olney, Md.
Tyran Cook – Guard – Waukesha South HS – Waukesha, Wisc.
Jaren Morton - Wing - Springside Chestnut Hill Academy – Philadelphia, Pa.
Stephen Olowoniyi - Center – The Webb School – Bell Buckle, Tenn. (via Nigeria and Australia)
Robert Peters - Forward - Nathan Hale HS – West Allis, Wisc.
Maurice Wright - Guard – St. Paul HS – Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
 
The group joins initial 2023 signees AJ Clark and Koree Cotton, who joined the program during the early signing period last November.
