LEXINGTON, Va. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team rallied Sunday to defeat VMI 14-8 and avoid a three-game sweep in Southern Conference action from Gray-Minor Stadium.
VMI took the first two games of the series, 16-11 Friday and 13-9 Saturday, and led 8-6 Sunday after seven. The Spartans scored two in the eighth inning to tie and plated six in the ninth.
The Keydets fall to 16-13 overall and 3-3 in the conference. VMI is 14-4 at home and for the series scored 37 runs on 37 hits.
