LEXINGTON, Va. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) baseball team defeated VMI 5-0 Friday in the first game of a three-game, non-conference series at Gray-Minor Stadium.
How it happened:
The visiting Cougars got all the runs they would need with a five-run first inning, fueled by two home runs. The Keydets threatened in the second inning but left three runners stranded and left two more on in the eighth.
