VMI head coach James Purpura
"Today was a tough result. Credit to our opponent, they dominated time of possession today. We got out ground balled and went 6-for-27 at the face off X. Neither of those stats are conducive to success. We have to find a way to generate possessions. Our young team continues to learn valuable lessons. I'm proud of their hunger to get better and we know we can play at a higher level. It's just about finding consistency. I look forward to getting back to the practice field tomorrow to keep getting better and start preparing for another conference game this weekend."
