LEXINGTON, Va. - The VMI Rifle team matched its season-best 2306 in the Air Rifle, coming up just three points shy of its top aggregate score of the year as the Keydets fired a 4550 on Sunday against 13th-ranked N.C. State. 

Christopher Hicks was the top shooter for VMI, totaling a 573 in the Air Rifle and 579 in smallbore (1152) to finish fourth overall individually. 

Ryan Harlow, Cassidy Dufour and Kolton Dobson placed sixth through eighth, respectively, with Harlow finishing fourth in the smallbore (574).

The Keydets will have a weekend off before returning to competition on February 18 when they host West Virginia and North Georgia in an NCAA Qualifier.
