CLEVELAND, OHIO – Freshman Patrick Jordon finished fourth in his weight class and several other Keydets had strong outings Saturday as the VMI wrestling team competed at the Cleveland State Open.
Jordon started the day with three major decisions at 141; 12-2, 12-4 and 12-3, before falling to opponents from Lock Haven and Pitt.
Sophomore Ryan Vigil and freshman Eric Doran each won two matches at 149 with Doran pinning one foe and Vigil picking up a technical fall.

*Caleb Chandler won a match at 165 by major decision
*Josh Evans pinned Eli Pack from Army with just one second remaining in his match
*Brian Jackson won a tough 4-3 match at 285 over his opponent from Northwestern

*The Keydets are off until Dec. 29-30, when they compete at the Soldier Salute in Coralsville, Iowa.
